The Everyday Jobs That Keep Your Business Running
Every business has a maintenance list. Dripping taps, sticking doors, scuffed walls, broken fixtures, worn handles — the kind of jobs that never feel urgent enough to deal with but slowly add up, affect how your premises look, and can become bigger problems if left too long.
At WHC Maintenance, we take care of all of it. One reliable team, one point of contact, and the peace of mind that your premises are always in good hands.
What Does General Maintenance Cover?
General maintenance covers the wide range of everyday repairs, improvements, and upkeep tasks that don’t require a specialist contractor — but do require someone reliable, skilled, and professional.
- General building repairs
- Door and window adjustments
- Lock and handle replacements
- Minor carpentry repairs
- Silicone replacement and sealing
- Flooring repairs
- Wall and ceiling repairs
- General property upkeep
- Painting and decorating touch-ups
- Bulb replacements
- Replacing switches, sockets and light fittings
- Replacing taps and sink fittings
- Toilet repairs
- Unblocking sinks and waste pipes

If we identify something that requires a qualified specialist, we’ll arrange and manage that for you too — ensuring the issue is resolved properly with minimal disruption to your business.
TWO WAYS TO WORK WITH US
Whether you need a one-off fix or ongoing support, we have an option that works for your business.
Call-Out Service
Need something sorted quickly without a long-term commitment? Simply get in touch, tell us what needs doing, and we’ll arrange a visit at a time that suits you.
Our general maintenance call-out service is charged by the hour, with a maximum call-out of 2 hours per visit. Perfect for businesses that have occasional jobs that need dealing with promptly and professionally.
Monthly Maintenance Plan
If maintenance is something you deal with regularly, a monthly plan makes far more sense than calling someone out every time something needs fixing.
Our maintenance plans give you a dedicated team on hand every month, scheduled visits, a maintenance tracking app, and the confidence that nothing gets left on the to-do list — all for a predictable monthly investment.

Clear Invoicing
ll work is invoiced clearly and exactly as agreed — no surprises, no hidden extras.
Your Initial Site Assessment & Compliance Report
When we begin working with you, one of the first things we do is carry out a thorough site assessment.
This isn’t just a quick look around. We record the key compliance information for your premises — including water system check dates, electrical inspection dates, and gas safety certificate dates — along with when each is next due.
This gives you a clear picture of where your compliance stands, and means we can proactively remind you when checks and certifications are coming up, and arrange them on your behalf if needed.
For businesses like nurseries, GP surgeries, dental clinics, and restaurants, staying on top of compliance is not optional — and we make sure it never slips through the cracks.
What If I Need Specialist Work or Extra Hours?
Your maintenance plan covers a wide range of general maintenance tasks. But sometimes a job requires a specialist engineer, or your allocated hours run out. Here’s how we handle both.
If your allocated hours run out, extra time is charged at your agreed hourly rate. Full transparency always — you’ll always know before any additional work begins.
Any specialist task — electrical, plumbing, gas, or heating — is quoted in advance, approved by you, then fully managed and overseen by our team. You don’t need to find a separate contractor.
All additional work is invoiced clearly and exactly in line with what was agreed. No hidden extras, no surprises.
Not Sure What You Need?
That’s completely fine. Just tell us what’s happening and we’ll point you in the right direction — no obligation, no jargon, just straightforward advice from people who know their trade.
